Payroll Co-Ordinator

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a well-established manufacturing organisation for an experienced Payroll Co-Ordinator to join their team at a busy, progressive time for the company. Offered as a 12 month Fixed Term contract with competitive salary and attractive company benefits, including excellent Pension and Health arrangements, Gym discounts, Cycle Scheme, enhanced Holidays and excellent onsite facilities, primary function of the role is to ensure employee payrolls are processed accurately and in a timely manner 

Payroll Co-Ordinator Key Duties include:

  • Processing of Payrolls accurately and to deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements
  • Compile data from time and attendance sources (Kronos & Time Force)
  • Process and monitor employee exceptions within the Time & Attendance system – Holidays, Sick, PLOA etc.
  • Process all employee changes of appointments, transfers, promotions and terminations
  • Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Process pay slips
  • Support all internal and external audits related to payroll
  • Investigate and resolve any issues relating to Employee Payroll

Skills/Qualifications/Attributes required by Payroll Co-Ordinator:

  • Accounts or Payroll related qualification/certification
  • Minimum of 3 years’ Payroll experience
  • Payroll and Accounting Software Proficiency (Kronos and/or Resourcelink/SAP desirable but not essential)
  • Knowledge of accounting principles/practices, payroll calculation and processing
  • Solid financial acumen
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Communication skills
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Stress tolerance
  • Team work


Location: Hereford

Hours of Work: Mon to Fri 8.30 am to 4.30 pm

Salary: £24,000 p.a. to £28,000 p.a. dependent upon experience
