Specialist Law Firm, innovative and ambitious in approach seeks a confident Receptionist, able to provide excellent service to their extensive client base. Town centre location, joining a team of dedicated professionals, your role as Receptionist would be providing an immediate, positive and competent response to all initial contacts to the practice and providing both secretarial/administrative support to Directors and Fee Earners across all departments. The ideal candidate will have worked within the Private Practice sector; however, this is not essential.

The role of Receptionist is offered on a permanent contract basis with immediate start available.

Duties and responsibilities of Receptionist:

  • Offer a high level of customer service to clients and other third parties
  • Responding to all enquiries made of the practice whether by telephone or in person, to ensure the client is signposted to the most appropriate person to deal with their enquiry in a timely, courteous and professional manner
  • Assist Fee Earners by providing secretarial and administrative support
  • Comply with all office procedures and policies in line with SQM requirements
  • Display a professional and competent ability to use the multi-line telephone system and to take/relay effective messages in a timely manner
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times
  • To assist in the collection and acceptance of incoming/outgoing mail and ensuring post is franked daily
  • To attend courses appropriate and applicable to your area of work in support of the proper performance of your role
  • To attend any departmental meetings as and when required
  • To comply with the Health & Safety Policy of the Practice and to promote/protect the welfare of all who attend the office in accordance with said policy

Skills/attributes required by Receptionist:

  • Professional telephone manner
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • IT Literate, role will involve Outlook email/calendar and Microsoft Word
  • Interpersonal skills

Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Hours of Work: 08:50 – 17:00 Monday to Friday (35 hours)
Salary: £21,000 - £23,000 p.a. – dependent upon experience
