Service Desk Administrator

World leading manufacturer of construction and utility equipment seeks a driven, organised individual to join their team as Service Desk Administrator. Working for this ethical, long established organisation, as Service Desk Administrator, you will be required to support  Service Supervisor and Field Service Engineers in the efficient and effective running of the Service team, liaising with customers, booking in services, ensuring timely and accurate billing and ensuring the Service team provides outstanding customer service.

The role of Service Desk Administrator is offered as a permanent contract with competitive salary, attractive pension, life cover and flexible working (start time can flex from 8am – 9am and finish 4pm – 5pm). This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated team player with the drive to achieve and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.


Service Desk Administrator duties would include:


  •         Build customer relationships
  •         Run the WAI report for walk around inspections and update this accordingly
  •         Making and receiving calls internally and externally
  •         Locating machines via the in-house system
  •         Closure of jobs for invoicing
  •         Engineer time input, for workshop and field
  •         Manage and send daily breakdown report
  •         Shark warranty system; submit claims
  •         Assist regional teams in meeting their WIP target days


Skills/Attributes required for the role of Service Desk Administrator include

  •         Relationship builder (internal/externally)
  •         Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Excel)
  •         Education level GSCE’s A-C
  •         Flexible outlook to working hours
  •         Open to training
  •         Previous experience within a similar role as Service Desk Administrator advantageous – not essential


Location: Redditch

Hours of Work: 35 hours p/w - Mon-Fri  8:30 am -4:30 pm or 9:00 am -5:00 pm

Salary: Up to £23,000 p.a. dependent upon experience
