CNC Setter/Operator
Established sheet metal manufacturing company based in Redditch are currently looking for a CNC Setter/Operator to join their growing engineering team.
Previous experience in setting and operating 3-Axis Hurco CNC milling machines is essential to fulfil the role of CNC Setter/Operator. Within this role you will be offered free car parking, competitive rates of pay and an early finish on Friday’s. Offered on a temporary to permanent role, this position of CNC Setter/Operator is available for immediate start.
Duties of CNC Setter/Operator:
- Set up and operate 3-axis Hurco CNC milling machines
- Load, prove and run programs (Hurco conversational and/or G-code)
- Set tools, work offsets and fixtures
- Read and work from engineering drawings
- Carry out first-off inspections and in-process checks
- Adjust offsets and tooling to maintain tolerances
- Produce parts to a high quality and consistent standard
- Identify and report any machining or quality issues
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and to company procedures
Skills and attributes required by CNC Setter/Operator:
- Previous experience in setting and operating 3-axis Hurco CNC milling machine
- Ability to work from drawings
- High attention to detail
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Hours of work: 7am-4pm (Monday-Thursday) Friday’s: 7am-1pm
Pay: £15-£16 per hour, depending on experience
