Specialist Fluid Handling company, established 25 years, seeks Compressed Air Service Engineer to install, service and repair air compressors of various makes (primarily Boge). Joining a long serving team, as Service Engineer you would be responsible for ensuring all works are carried out to industry standards and maintaining necessary service & commissioning reports.

Successful candidate for the position of Compressed Air Service Engineer would possess good mechanical / electrical knowledge, ability to work at height, be self-motivated, able to work on site unsupervised and hold a full clean driving licence to cover their 100-mile radius customer base.

Compressed Air Service Engineer duties include:

  • Service & repair of Air Compressors (primarily Boge)
  • Installation of air compressors and associated equipment, including pipework
  • Completion of all necessary service & commissioning reports and related documentation
  • Provision of effective solutions to customers' concerns
  • Communicating with clients, engineers, and other technicians to ensure that services are delivered effectively
  • Promptly following up on service requests and providing customer feedback
  • Monitoring equipment and machinery performance and developing preventative maintenance measures
  • Conducting quality assurance and safety checks on all equipment
  • Delivering demonstrations to ensure that customers are educated on safe and effective equipment use
  • Providing recommendations about new features and product improvements
  • Monitoring inventory and reordering materials when needed

Skills and attributes required by successful candidate for the role of Compressed Air Service Engineer:

  • Electrical & Mechanical Engineering experience within a field-based role
  • Industry relevant qualification - desirable
  • Previous experience within Compressed Air Service Industry – desirable
  • Full UK driver’s licence
  • Conscientious and trustworthy
  • A drive and passion for continuous improvement of company products
  • A real team player, with pride in one’s work and a desire for success
  • Flexible can-do attitude (must be available for out of hours call out)
  • Able to manage short, medium and long-term goals
  • PC Literate
  • Able to work under pressure

Location: Redditch, Worcestershire Head Office covering 100-mile radius

Hours of Work: Mon to Fri 8 am – 5 pm (occasional out of hours call out)

Salary: £35,000 p.a. to £40,000 p.a. dependent upon experience
